11th Annual “Dine About Town San Francisco” returns

“Dine About Town San Francisco” returns for the second half of its eleventh year on June 1-15, 2012. A total of 111 top San Francisco restaurants are participating, offering a two-course lunch menu for $17.95 and/or a three-course dinner menu for $34.95. This pricing can represent up to a 25 percent savings off regularly priced a la carte items.

American Express is the preferred method of payment for Dine About Town. Cardmembers will earn a $15 statement credit when they dine three or more times during Dine About Town at any participating restaurants and pay with any registered American Express® Card. To take advantage of this offer, Cardmembers must register through the San Francisco Travel website http://www.dineabouttown.com.

Eight restaurants have joined since the first half of the promotion in January. For June 1-15, the following restaurants are also participating:

Restaurants that have participated since the first Dine About Town promotion in 2002 include Ana Mandara, AsiaSF, B44, Cliff House, Cosmopolitan, E&O Trading Company, Forbes Island, Fringale, Grand Café, Le Colonial, One Market, Restaurant Lulu, and Scoma’s. New restaurants to participate in the 2012 promotion include 54 Mint, Aurea, Bottle Cap, Café Claude, Caffe Como Eatery, Claudine, Cupola, Eastside West, Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana, Jasper’s Corner Tap & Kitchen, La Mar Cebichería Peruana, Nordstrom Café Bistro, Presidio Social Club, Sauce Belden, Trace, Tres Tequila Lounge & Mexican Kitchen, and Txoko.

Dates and times of participation vary by restaurant. A la carte menus will also be available. Reservations are encouraged and may be made online at http://www.dineabouttown.com through a partnership with OpenTable.com. On June 4-July 23, the Visitor Information Center is temporarily located on the lower level of the Westfield San Francisco Centre, 865 Market Street, while the permanent location near the Powell Street cable car turnaround at 900 Market St. in Hallidie Plaza, lower level, is being extensively remodeled.
