Popular fast casual restaurant hosting grand opening with ribbon cutting, giveaways and more on Feb. 2
Apóla Greek Grill’s newest location opened in time to tend to guests’ needs in Riverside for the holiday season.
Now that the holiday hustle and bustle has passed, the budding fast-casual brand is ready to host a grand opening celebration to showcase its restaurant inside the Galleria at Tyler shopping center. The party is set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, within the mall food court.
The festivities will include a ribbon cutting featuring Riverside Mayor Patricia Dawson, city officials, members of the Riverside Chamber of Commerce and Franchisee Majid Zahedi. Zahedi opened the first franchised Apola in December of 2022 and brings more than 30 years of experience as a restaurant owner and operator.
“Majid was the perfect person to open this location, especially during the holidays, because of his connection to the community,” said Apola Co-Founder Stefano Kosmides. “The mall traffic has been incredible, and we’ve found many people in Riverside eager to try the best Greek food in Southern California. We welcome everyone to come, grab a gyro and celebrate our grand opening with us on Feb. 2!”
Fans attending can expect multiple opportunities to win FREE Apola-branded gear, gift cards and Greek food. Special grand-opening promotions will also be available to all guests and discounts are available to mall employees.
Apola’s fans flock in for the Authentic Greek Gyro, but the restaurant offers something for everyone with a variety of options. Guests can try numerous proteins like chicken, pork, beef and lamb gyro as well as grilled shrimp skewers and grilled chicken souvlaki that can be combined with a variety of spreads from the original tzatziki to a distinctive spicy hummus. All sandwiches and entrees are customizable, and most proteins are halal-certified meats.
Vegetarians and vegans will be happy to find traditional Greek staples like dolmas, falafel and Greek salad on the menu. Apola also offers their own meatless gyro option that brings the flavor of the Greek street food favorite with a vegetarian zing – all offered via counter service inside the mall.
The Galleria at Tyler location will operate much like Apola’s other brick-and-mortar restaurants, offering catering services as well as online ordering and third-party delivery. The restaurant will serve guests during the mall’s regular operating hours Monday through Sunday, but opens an hour early for mall employees and anyone else looking to get a quick breakfast. Curbside pick-up will be available in the Galleria at Tyler Curbside Parking area later this year.
