Avalanche Food Group (AFG), owners of 11 Twin Peaks restaurants and Houston’s first Bread Zeppelin, awarded over $35,000 in grants to Houston and Houston Area teachers as part of its fundraising effort to help support teachers who often pay out-of-pocket for supplies and necessities for children in their classrooms.
On Saturday, October 12, 2024, Avalanche Food Group awarded a total of 80 grants to local teachers at its Kirby Twin Peaks Restaurant in Houston. The grant funding is the result of a back-to-school giveback initiative Avalanche Food Group launched for teachers in all their Twin Peaks and Bread Zeppelin communities to help ensure educators and their students have the classroom supplies they need for a successful school year. All 11 AFG Twin Peaks locations, nine in Texas and two in Indiana, along with Bread Zeppelin in Houston, participated in the fundraising effort throughout the month of August, raising a total of $35,578 for teachers!
Avalanche Food Group Founders, John, Joe, and Ricky Rosa presented checks to all the Houston and Houston Area teachers who applied for and were chosen to receive a grant at the celebration. The teachers were also treated to food and beverages at both the Twin Peaks Kirby location and Bread Zeppelin restaurants.
“We were thrilled to present these teachers with a check to help ease the burden of their out-of-pocket classroom expenses this year,” said Ricky Rosa, COO of Avalanche Food Group. “We’re very proud of and grateful to our AFG family and all the customers at our Twin Peaks and Bread Zeppelin restaurants who rounded-up their bill during this campaign to help us support and show teachers how much they are appreciated.”
In addition to check presentations in Houston, Avalanche Food Group also distributed grants to teachers in their Twin Peaks Restaurant locations in Indiana.
