Avalanche Food Group (AFG), owners of 11 Twin Peaks restaurant locations across Texas and Indiana, made the holidays brighter for 1,000 veterans, military families, teachers, and first responders with free fresh-cut Christmas trees, lights, ornaments, and tree stands at their 11th Annual Christmas Tree Giveaway!
Avalanche Food Group, in cooperation with Home Depot, gave away 1,000 fresh-cut Christmas trees and all the trimmings to US military and civilian service families at seven of their Twin Peaks restaurant locations in just seven days at the 11th annual event!
“Sharing Christmas with our heroes through the gift of these trees has become a cherished annual tradition for our Twin Peaks family for over 10 years now,” said Ricky Rosa, COO of Avalanche Food Group. “Every year, we try to do a little more for the communities we serve, and this year marked our biggest giveaway yet. It’s our way of spreading some heartfelt holiday cheer and expressing our gratitude to those who proudly serve both our country and communities.”
Avalanche Food Group has given away over 6,000 Christmas trees to military and civilian families in need since the launch of their Annual Christmas Tree Giveaway in 2013! This year, the special Christmas gifts were given to local veterans and active military servicemembers, educators, and first responders at AFG Twin Peaks locations in Houston, Beaumont, Bryan, Corpus Christi, and McAllen, Texas, along with Greenwood and Indianapolis, Indiana.
Founded in 2009 by brothers John, Joe, and Ricky Rosa, Avalanche Food Group owns nine Twin Peaks restaurant locations in Texas, two in Indiana, and one Bread Zeppelin location in Houston. The Rosa brothers are deeply committed to community service and hold a special place in their hearts for educators, first responders, and veterans and active military members, who serve our country and community. To date, the company has contributed over $500,000 to military and community causes. Their ongoing efforts have benefited educators, including $35,000 in grants this year to local teachers for classroom supplies, and veterans, service members, and families throughout the year, in collaboration with organizations like Folds of Honor, the USO South Texas, Wounded Warriors Project, Wish for Our Heroes, Indy Veterans, and others!
