Woodbridge, VA Location to Mark 80th Outpost for South Florida-Based Burger Gourmet Chain
BurgerFi, among the nation’s fastest growing, award-winning gourmet burger chains – with 80 locations and 100 units expected to be open by the early part of 2016 – is proud to announce the arrival of its second location in Virginia. The new outpost will open in Woodbridge on February 1st in association with VSN Burgers, LLC, a company owned by husband and wife team Jose and Kathy Barahona.
The Barahonas are highly-experienced multi-unit restaurant developers and operators of several restaurant concepts in the Washington, DC metro area. The duo successfully operated eight highvolume restaurants between 2002 and 2012. “We are very proud and excited to introduce Woodbridge and the surrounding area to BurgerFi’s award-winning natural burger concept,” say Jose and Kathy. “It’s one we are sure will resonate with consumers seeking a commitment to additive-free meat and an eco-conscious environment.”
The new BurgerFi location will be located in the Potomac Town Center, an exciting retail destination in a boulevard environment anchored by an Apple store and a 138,000 square foot Wegmans Food Market. Potomac Town Center features distinctive architecture, animated public spaces, and a shopping experience that allows for customers to enjoy day or night.
BurgerFi will continue its “burgerfication of the world,” following its ”Never Ever” program policy by selling only fresh (never-frozen) burgers that are free from steroids, antibiotics and growth hormones, without any chemicals or additives. BurgerFi also offers items such as fresh-cut fries, handmade onion rings, proprietary Vegefi burgers, as well as beer and wine. In true, environmentally friendly BurgerFi fashion, the new Woodbridge location will feature chairs made entirely from recycled Coca-Cola bottles, tables from compressed recycled wood and ceiling fans that conserve electricity.
Domestic growth efforts for BurgerFi in 2016 include new restaurants planned for Alabama, Florida, New Jersey, Texas and California, just to name a few. Other international locations are already under development in the UK, Mexico and Panama.
