New Orleans-style brunch brand introduces limited-time menu items celebrating beloved flavors
Today marks the 16th anniversary of the grand opening of Ruby Slipper’s inaugural restaurant in Mid-City, in the heart of New Orleans. This summer season to celebrate its sweet 16, Ruby Slipper is bringing back several seasonal favorites for a limited time. As the home of the New Orleans-style boozy brunch, Ruby Slipper is no stranger to craveable flavors of yesterday, tomorrow and beyond.
“Ruby Slipper fans aren’t shy to let us know when they miss some of our archived classics or limited-time offerings,” said Ruby Slipper Culinary Operations Partner Marla Chua. “What better way to enter the summer season than by bringing these beloved, frequently requested meals back to our menu?”
Through July 9, all Ruby Slipper and Ruby Sunshine locations will feature these popular dishes from the past, guaranteed to satisfy every guest’s brunch cravings:
- Berry Chantilly Beignets ($7.25): Topped with vanilla cheesecake, blueberry compote and macerated strawberries, these New Orleans-style beignets are finished with Chantilly cream and powdered sugar.
- Peaches & Cream Stuffed French Toast ($12.50): This Brioche French Toast is filled with vanilla cheesecake, peach compote and topped with whiskey cream sauce and whipped cream.
- Bloody Mary Shrimp Ceviche ($11.00): Citrus poached shrimp, cured in Ruby Slipper’s award-winning Bloody Mary mix, Pico de Gallo and avocado. Served with seasoned tortilla chips.
- Costa Rican Breakfast ($13.00): This founder-favorite meal features chorizo sausage, slow-cooked black beans & rice, topped with two eggs any style and a warm tomato salsa, crispy plantains and avocado.
- Watermelon Margarita ($10.50): Muddled fresh watermelon, Pueblo Viejo 100% Tequila, Triple Sec, Monin watermelon puree, lime juice, Red Bull Red Edition with Tajin rim.
“You asked and we listened,” said CEO Elizabeth McGee. “Not only are we honored to bring back these crowd-pleasers, including a personal favorite of mine – the Costa Rican Breakfast – we’re just as excited to enjoy as we celebrate the incredible milestone of our 16th birthday!”
Additionally, just in time for Mother’s Day and National Mimosa Day on May 16, Ruby Slipper is celebrating moms ALL month long by inviting guests to indulge in their Mom-mosa Experience at select locations. Guests can treat themselves with a personalized “table service” experience, complete with a carafe of sparkling wine, pours of fresh fruit juices, and a medley of freshly cut seasonal fruits, served with a festive candy rock swizzle for an extra touch of sweetness… just the way mom likes it.
