Big Whiskey’s Franchising LLC has announced the signing of its newest franchisee in Kansas City. H2B Restaurants LLC is the second Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar franchise and the company’s first in the state of Missouri.
H2B, a new partnership formed to own & operate Big Whiskey’s in the Kansas City area, is comprised of Ed House of Springfield, Ryan Bohl of Jefferson City and JD House of Kansas City. “We’ve been eating at Big Whiskey’s for years and always thought we’d love to be part of the legend,” said Ed House, H2B’s managing partner. “When we heard the Kansas City franchise was available we knew it would be a great market for our first Big Whiskey’s.”
“We’re thrilled to have Ed, Ryan & JD on board as our Kansas City franchisee,” commented Austin Herschend, Big Whiskey’s Franchising CEO. “We’ve been very impressed how professionally they’ve approached this venture with us.” He added the company will open its first restaurant in Kansas City “around the same time H2B will open theirs so we can maximize our impact in the market”. Herschend predicated both units will open in the 2nd quarter of 2017.
Both H2B and Big Whiskey’s are working closely together to find the ideal locations “that compliment but don’t compete” as House puts it. “We feel very fortunate to be opening our store along side the first company unit in the Kansas City area. This will give us a tremendous advantage,” he continued.
Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar currently operates 3 restaurants in Springfield, one each in Ozark & Branson and will open its first franchised location in Bentonville AR in February 2017. The first Big Whiskey’s opened in downtown Springfield MO in 2006 and began franchising in late 2015. More information can be found at www.bigwhiskeysfranchise.com.
