New Orleans-style brunch brand introduces limited-time menu items celebrating springtime flavors
There’s no time like springtime, especially when enjoying the “joie de vivre” of a boozy brunch – the kind guests savor at Ruby Slipper. As the home of the New Orleans-style brunch, Ruby Slipper is always creating craveworthy new dishes to celebrate the season’s flavors – and spring is perfect for fresh, new indulgences.
“Every spring, we add lighter seasonal flavors like citrus and berries to complement our new dishes,” said Ruby Slipper Culinary Operations Partner Marla Chua. “When we take those elements, add inspiration from our Cajun and Creole roots and infuse with our spirit of decadence, you get new menu items that brunch fans will fall in love with.”
Now through April 30, all Ruby Slipper and Ruby Sunshine locations will feature these spring-themed specials, guaranteed to satisfy every guest’s brunch cravings:
- Lavender-Lemon Seasonal Beignets ($7.25): New Orleans-style beignets with lavender cheesecake, lemon curd, whipped cream with purple sugar crystals and powdered sugar.
- Almond Berry Pancakes ($12.50): Housemade sweet cream batter with cinnamon and sugar. Topped with almond créme, macerated strawberries, whipped cream and powdered sugar. (Add Applewood-smoked bacon for $2; add side cake for $4.50.)
- Pineapple Ham Benedict ($15.00): Mike’s hot honey-glazed Applewood-smoked ham served over a grilled buttermilk biscuit, pineapple-cherry relish, topped with two poached eggs, finished with hollandaise and garnished with chives.
- Gin Blossom Lemonade ($11.50): Miles’ Gin, Monin lavender syrup, lemonade and fresh lemon.
“All year round, Ruby Slipper is the place to find seasonal dishes served with our vintage New Orleans-style brunch flair,” said CEO Elizabeth McGee. “And as always each spring, we love infusing our unique dining experience with fresh flavors – and a special twist – that elevates our guests’ love for all-day brunch!”

Born from the undeniable spirit and soul of New Orleans, a place where the good times roll on no particular day of the week or time of the day, we set out to create a place that celebrates the craveable and creative flavor and spirit of breakfast and brunch front and center, every day. Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group was founded in New Orleans in 2008 to help bring the community together over a shared love for brunch. Over a decade since that first cozy Ruby Slipper Café, the group has grown to operate two brands, expanding with Ruby Sunshine, and now has more than 20 restaurants in six states. Ruby Slipper is open seven days a week, serving an array of offerings from breakfast, lunch, brunch, coffee and cocktails.
