MLive Team Spotlight’s Frankenmuth Landmark in Quest for Best Fried Chicken.
The Bavarian Inn Restaurant hosted MLive’s John Gonzales and Amy Sherman as part of the team’s current journey to find Michigan’s Best Fried Chicken. The landmark Frankenmuth restaurant received the top ranking for all of Saginaw County in a reader poll that determined the final 33 statewide nominees being considered for the distinction. The reporting duo is scheduled announce their ultimate winning choice on July 7.
“We are honored to be selected as the Best Fried Chicken in the Saginaw area by MLive readers,” commented Amy Zehnder Grossi, General Manager of the Bavarian Inn. “We loved our recent visit from MLive’s John Gonzalez and Amy Sherman and hope they were impressed as they continue to travel the State looking for the Best Fried Chicken,” she continued.
In 2014, the Bavarian Inn Castle Shop Bakery was honored by MLive as one of the best pie makers in the state and last year, honored with a Best Dessert award.
