The two franchise groups and their development plans include:

  • Existing franchisee Bluemont Group, LLC, plans to develop five new Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the Greater Birmingham area, specifically in Gadsden, Talladega, Anniston and Oxford. This group currently operates 22 restaurants throughout Tennessee in Knoxville, Chattanooga and Nashville, and will also be developing restaurants in Atlanta. Led by Dave Baumgartner, the team’s first Birmingham location is planned to open in summer 2017.
  • Existing franchise group, Shri Ambe, LLC, plans to develop four Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants, including one multi-brand unit with sister brand Baskin-Robbins, in Montgomery. Led by Sachin Patel, Samir Patel and Hemen Patel, this team currently operates one Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant in Auburn. This group’s next restaurant is planned to open in 2017.

“Our enthusiastic and dedicated franchisees contribute to both our brands’ growth, which has helped solidify our position as one of the fastest growing companies by unit count in the quick-service restaurant industry,” said Grant Benson, CFE, vice president of global franchising and business development, Dunkin’ Brands. “We are thrilled that these existing franchisees have chosen to expand Dunkin’ Donuts’ and Baskin-Robbins’ presence in Alabama. We know these new restaurants will satisfy a growing consumer demand in the local communities they serve.”
