East Coast Wings & Grill announces the appointment of Dan Collins, CFE as Senior Vice President of Brand Development.
Collins, who most recently served as Vice President of Franchise Development with Hurricane Grill & Wings, will be responsible for recruiting single- and multi-unit franchisees across the United States, instituting systems, policies, processes and procedures. He will also direct other aspects of the chain’s continued growth, including negotiation of development agreements and territories, real estate site review, and consultation on restaurant design and construction.
“We are delighted to appoint a franchise veteran to this important position,” said Sam Ballas, CEO of East Coast Wings & Grill. “Dan’s impressive background and experience in the franchise industry makes him a well-rounded and integral part of our organization. His business development abilities will no doubt be a huge advantage as we continue to introduce our franchise opportunity nationwide.”
With more than 24 restaurants currently open, 6 in a construction phase and over 60 sold locations, in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas and Florida, the company plans call for adding 100-150 new locations across the country within the next few years.
A seasoned professional with more than 30 years of experience, Collins’ career in the hospitality industry began at the ripe age of 13, when he started washing dishes and bussing tables at Mario the Baker, an Italian full service restaurant in Plantation, Florida. Over the next three decades, he worked his way up through the ranks in operations and training, and eventually made the transition into business development for concepts such as Miami Subs, Kenny Rogers Roasters, Arby’s, Johnny Rockets and mostly recently Hurricane Grill & Wings.
“I am energized by the opportunity and look forward to working with the company leadership and our franchisee community to ensure East Coast Wings & Grill continues to be one of the strongest and most rapidly growing buffalo chicken wing concepts in the United States,” said Collins, noting the company’s 33 consecutive quarters of same-store sales increases and strong unit economics.
