NBA Forward Brings Family-Focused Chicken Wings Restaurant to Florida
East Coast Wings & Grill, a North Carolina-based casual dining restaurant known for its 75 flavors of award-winning buffalo-style wings, opened its first Florida location at 588 S. Alafaya Trail in Orlando on December 2, 2013.
The new restaurant is the first location owned by professional NBA forward, Quentin Richardson, and is part of a development deal for the area that he inked with East Coast Wings in 2012. Under operations of JacksonBrown Hospitality Group, a Chicago-based company that helped develop and operate such properties as Michael Jordan’s Steak House, Richardson has committed to opening 10 East Coast Wings & Grill restaurants in Orlando over the next seven years.
“We are excited to round out a successful year for East Coast Wings & Grill with an opening in a Florida with Quentin Richardson,” said Sam Ballas, CEO of East Coast Wings & Grill. “2013 was a year of expansion from our North Carolina-base and we look forward to creating a place that Orlando families can go to comfortably enjoy time together and feast on our award-winning wings, burgers and other fan favorites.”
Carving out a new segment in the area, East Coast Wings & Grill is far different from the norm of chicken wing restaurants. Focusing on great-tasting, freshly prepared food for families, deviating from the standard alcohol-driven setting typical of wing concepts, the flourishing brand creates a warm and inviting environment that leaves customers feeling a sense of community. While its 75 flavors and 675 combinations of buffalo wings remain a staple of the brand, East Coast Wings & Grill’s six-page menu incorporates casual dining fare including burgers, salads, sandwiches and more.
“Franchising is about following a proven system and sticking with an operations plan that you didn’t have to create, but that you have to execute,” said Richardson, noting pro athletes do that better than anyone else. “With 39 quarters of same-store sales increases, East Coast Wings & Grill has clearly developed a system that works and I’m glad to be part of the team.”
With proven proprietary systems and operation plans, franchising with East Coast Wings & Grill offers a unique opportunity for professional athletes who cannot be involved in the day-to-day business operations, but knows what it takes to be part of a winning team.
Orlando’s new East Coast Wings & Grill is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. To reach the restaurant call (407) 208-9464.
