Santa Clarita is feeling the island vibes this month thanks to a fresh fast-casual restaurant concept to hit the scene — Fire Island Grill. The fun, quick serve franchise has just opened its doors at 19225 Plum Canyon Road in Santa Clarita, California and is owned by franchisees Leo and Lorena Ardell.
The company received an overwhelmingly positive response from the community and has since continued to see steady traffic.
“We opened with no advertising or opening banner — we just opened the doors and saw an immediate response from customers,” said Rich Adams, Managing Member and Co-Owner of Fire Island Grill, of the location’s opening day. “The first week sales far exceeded expectations with a tremendous turnout that grew each day.”
Adams’ statement echoes the restaurant’s capabilities shown throughout last year and Q1, Q2, and Q3 of this year. The company has touted an exceptional system-wide sales history, breaking its sales records consistently.
In line with trending fast casual restaurant models, Fire Island Grill carries a variety of tropical- inspired menu items served within a build-your-own-meal model. The company is most known for its Rice Bowls and Plates, a fan favorite in all locations.
“Two of our most popular items are the Chicken & Steak Combo and our Blackened Shrimp Bowls,” stated Adams. “We make all of our own sauces and our guests also rave about our Mac Salad.”
Fire Island Grill’s house made sauces include Sweet Teriyaki, Spicy Teriyaki, Thai Peanut and Jamaican Jerk.
In light of the Santa Clarita location’s success along with Fire Island Grill’s other two locations — one in Palmdale and the other in Simi Valley — the company is ramping up its franchise sales efforts, seeking new franchisees to meet the company’s demand.
