The new Northwest Arkansas Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar franchise exceeded all expectations during its first month of operation and is continuing to build momentum. The grand opening of the new franchise took place on March 10 in Bentonville, a project that has been in the works for the last year. Shane Miller, the parent company’s first franchisee, was enthused to see the Bentonville community get behind Big Whiskey’s big taste.
“Bentonville is not a major market but we are in a great location and the region is growing rapidly,” said Miller. “Our seats are full and have been since we opened the doors.”
The new restaurant franchise is in the retail center at 214 SE Walton Boulevard on the pad in front of Guess Who? Spirits and across from Baymont Inn & Suites near Rainbow Curve. The establishment, which is only 5300SF with indoor seating for 250 patrons, has averaged an astounding $74,108 a week in sales in the since the grand opening–an accomplishment even more impressive considering the patio was still under construction and no advertising was placed to announce the opening.
Big Whiskey’s Franchising CEO Austin Herschend beamed, “Needless to say we’re excited for Shane, he has completely exceeded our expectations by generating that level of revenue.”
Miller continued, “I am honored to be the first franchisee to bring the Big Whiskey’s brand to Northwest Arkansas, and I’m thrilled how the people here have embraced our concept. In fact, I am currently looking for my second Big Whiskey’s location as we fully intend to grow with the company.”
Kansas City will be the next Big Whiskey’s restaurant franchise to open May 19 in the Summit Fair Center in Lee’s Summit, MO. The 6th company-owned unit will open early summer in Republic, MO—the site is a Ruby Tuesdays the company purchased and will be the first freestanding Big Whiskey’s.
