America’s #1 buffet and grill represents the only restaurant group included in this year’s list of recipients
The Board of Directors for the popular buffet-style restaurant Golden Corral has been honored with a 2024 Private Company Boards of the Year Award for its excellence in business governance. Out of the seven companies selected, Golden Corral Corporation is the only restaurant group to be recognized.
The award was accepted by Board Chair Easter Maynard at the 2024 Private Company Governance Summit in Washington, D.C.
The award celebrates the accomplishments of an entire board that represents privately owned companies of all sizes and ownership structures. Recipients exhibit best practices in both structure and performance.
“I am humbled and blessed to work with such a caring, dedicated, and qualified group of strategic thinkers,” said Golden Corral President and CEO Lance Trenary. “I nominated our board for their unwavering support and commitment during the most difficult time in our company’s 50-year history. It is an incredible honor to be the only restaurant recipient of this award.”
The Board of Directors for Golden Corral Corporation is made up of seven independent and accomplished individuals who bring a vast amount of diverse experience and viewpoints to every quarterly meeting.
