Golden Corral to Commemorate Golden Anniversary in 2023Golden Corral has so much to celebrate in 2023! America’s No. 1 buffet and grill will officially mark its golden anniversary with 50 years in the restaurant industry on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Since 1973, Golden Corral has been serving everyone’s favorite comfort foods, desserts and its famous yeast rolls in a family-friendly environment.  Golden Corral’s reputation for offering quality meals and unmatched variety at an affordable price has its fans coming back for more.

“I am honored to be leading a brand that has been providing home-cooked classics and family favorites at an affordable price for five decades,” Chief Executive Officer Lance Trenary said. “Golden Corral is able to reach our golden anniversary because of the passion our restaurant teams have for what we do daily and the commitment of our franchisees. Their tenacity, along with the relationship we’ve created with our loyal guests and communities, has created this success story.”

As a ‘thank you’ to its fans, Golden Corral will kick off its golden year with a 50th celebration sweepstakes where one grand prize winner will win FREE Golden Corral for a year, 50 second-prize winners will receive a $50 Golden Corral gift card, and 50 third-prize winners will receive a $25 Golden Corral gift card. For a chance to win, guests must upload a receipt to the Rewards app between Jan. 2 and Feb. 19.

The celebration will continue throughout the year as Golden Corral will announce more fun ways to celebrate 50 years of America’s No. 1 buffet and grill in 2023. In addition, Golden Corral will turn its logo gold for the year to celebrate five decades of hard work, dedication, service and growth.

Service to others is a hallmark of the Raleigh-based brand, and Golden Corral takes great pride in caring for its guests and the communities it serves. The countless fundraisers done by its restaurants for local causes or first responders and the dedication it has to support its own through the GC Cares Fund, which helps employees with financial assistance in time of need, are just a few examples of Golden Corral’s service to others.

The brand’s longstanding partnership with DAV, a nonprofit that provides lifetime support for veterans of all generations and their families, has led to nearly $18.5 million in contributions to community-based service initiatives for veterans through DAV. Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Night is an annual tradition and has accounted for over 6.25 million meals served to veterans since its inception in 2001.

Camp Corral extends that care and support to children of wounded, ill or fallen parents who served in the U.S. military. The week-long camp they attend for free is a place for these children to connect with others like them. Since 2012, Golden Corral has raised over $13 million to help send more than 30,000 children to Camp Corral.

Golden Corral has been serving wholesome food in a family-friendly environment since 1973. New additions to the menu and remodeled restaurants have added to the brand’s appeal, and it plans a continued focus on innovation, quality meals and affordability for the next 50 years.
