10% of Kids Meal Purchases in February to be Donated to Levine Children’s Hospital
February is known as the month of love, and one Charlotte-based restaurant brand wants to share that vision with children who may need it the most.
Hickory Tavern, the family neighborhood restaurant with a sports passion, is launching a new fundraising campaign called “Share the Love.” During the month of February, Hickory Tavern will donate 10% of all kids meals to Levine Children’s Hospital at its 13 Charlotte-area locations.
Levine Children’s Hospital, part of Carolinas HealthCare System, serves as a beacon of hope in the Charlotte community and beyond and has been named a Best Children’s Hospital by US News and World Report for the past five years.
“We view community involvement as one of the most important parts of being good neighbors and responsible corporate citizens. Since our inception, each Hickory Tavern location has worked with local churches, charities, schools and community organizations to help them with their efforts to enhance the communities in which they do business,” said Hickory Tavern CMO Thom Perez. “With so many locations in the Charlotte area, we wanted to do something on a larger scale to make an even bigger impact in our community. We couldn’t be more thrilled with partnering with Levine Children’s Hospital, an organization that saves and improves the lives of our children.”
According to Mark Griffith, Director, Fund Development for Carolinas HealthCare Foundation, the money raised by Hickory Tavern will help carry on the hospital’s legacy as one of the premier healthcare institutions in the United States.
