Hooters Celebrates “Mother-in-Lawesome Day” with Free Meal on Oct. 28

Hooters of America, LLC, today announced that it will treat awesome mothers-in-law to a free meal at Hooters in honor of National Mother-In-Law Day—or, as Hooters likes to call it—Mother-in-Lawesome Day. On Monday, Oct. 28, Hooters is offering a free entrée for any mother-in-law who dines at any Hooters location across the U.S.

“The mother-in-law relationship is often criticized, but according to a recent survey 57 percent of Americans consider their mother-in-law to be a true friend,” said Dave Henninger, chief marking officer, Hooters of America. “Hooters had 30,000 mothers dine with us on Mother’s Day this year, so we want to give the in-laws a chance to shine and celebrate the mothers-in-law who make a difference in their families’ lives. The entire family is welcome to sit back and enjoy Hooters relaxed atmosphere while treating your awesome mother-in-law to a delicious meal on us.”

Hooters has developed an online questionnaire to help you determine just how remarkable she is, the “Hooters Mother-in-Lawesome Quiz” is available at www.motherinlawesome.com. The website even has an option to send your mom-in-law an email to let her know you’re taking her to Hooters on Oct. 28.

In addition to the awesome quiz, everyone is invited to share photos of their mother-in-lawesome via Twitter and Instagram with the #StepIntoAwesome hashtag. The best mother-in-law moments will be featured on Hooters Step Into Awesome website, www.stepintoawesome.com.

The Mother-in-Lawesome concept, website and quiz were created by Hooters creative agency Skiver Advertising of Newport Beach, Calif.

The Mother-In-Law Day deal is available at each of the more than 355 Hooters restaurant locations across the United States. There is no coupon required to activate the deal, mothers-in-law just need to have a daughter or son-in-law present to redeem the deal while dining in at their favorite Hooters restaurant. The free entrée deal, up to a $10.99 value with a drink purchase, can be redeemed at any time during business hours on Oct. 28.

With more salads, sandwiches, seafood dishes and other delicious options, the recently expanded Hooters menu has a variety of entrées for mothers-in-law to choose from. Of course, Hooters continues to offer its world-famous traditional and boneless chicken wings with buffalo sauce favorites, ranging in heat from mild to 911, as well as new signature sauces and rubs on select Hooters menus, such as teriyaki-style samurai, lemon pepper and chipotle honey. For a limited time, those looking to huddle up at Hooters during football season can enjoy the “Gridiron Grub” menu with tasty options that include BBQ pork sliders served on warm mini buns, classic chili cheese fries, as well as shareable platters of sweet chipotle chicken or smoked BBQ pork piled high with additional toppings on Hooters new big dipper fries.

Hooters also recently kicked off its annual breast cancer research fundraising campaign to raise money in support of The V Foundation for Cancer Research, one of the nation’s leading cancer research funding organizations. Now through Nov. 27, guests are invited to get involved at their favorite Hooters location by purchasing specialty drinks, merchandise, 2014 Hooters Calendars, making a donation in-store and attending signature fundraising events.
