Throughout 2011, Huddle House, the 400-unit full-service dining chain, has focused its marketing efforts on enhancing its relationship with the community and customers with technology advancements, particularly in the social media arena. These efforts will now be multiplied as Huddle House’s CEO, Ken Keymer, has announced his newest hire, Marc Butler, who will serve as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
“Our marketing efforts have been critical to our tremendous unit-level success throughout 2011. Marc Butler will play a critical role on building upon those successes,” Keymer said. “Marc joins our executive team with a wealth of experience, which we will rely upon to further advance our efforts and strategies.”
As CMO, Butler be responsible for Huddle House’s overall strategic planning, as well as brand marketing, product development, promotional analysis, media planning, field marketing, creative, public relations and social media.
“As a proven, historic brand, Huddle House has done an amazing job at building a tremendous foundation,” he said. “I look forward to adding insight, creative and strategies to take Huddle House to an entirely new level.”
Prior to joining Huddle House, Butler spent seven years in various marketing leadership positions at Church’s Chicken, where, he was most recently Senior Vice President of Marketing. Prior to joining Church’s, he worked on the Church’s business at Carat USA supervising media planning and account management for the chicken chain.
Earlier in his career, Butler held positions at some of the top regional advertising offices in Atlanta, including Foot Cone & Belding, Ogilvy & Mather and J. Walter Thompson. His responsibilities included media planning and strategic brand management for accounts like Domino’s Pizza, Krystal, Wendy’s and Taco Bell. Butler is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Telecommunication Arts.
