Hwy 55 Renames its Famous Oreo Shakes for the Special Day
As America falls under the path of a total solar eclipse on Monday, August 21, Hwy 55 Burger, Shakes & Fries is renaming its popular Oreo Shakes “Fly Me to The Moon” and selling them for $1.99 on the special day, all day nationwide at participating locations.
“We are always looking for a reason to treat our valued guests to the world’s greatest shakes and we thought the eclipse was a great opportunity to serve them all day for a special price,” said Hwy 55 president Kenney Moore, who started the brand 26 years ago. “While folks will be seeking the ‘path of totality,’ we know that all roads will lead to Hwy 55 and we will be ready with our incredible shakes.”
In addition to best-in-class shakes, Hwy 55 boasts a fresh, All-American diner experience with fresh, never-frozen burgers, premium sliced cheesesteaks piled high on steamed hoagies and frozen custard made in-house every day. With its open-grill design, the kitchen’s dedication and care when hand-crafting meals is front and center.
While celebrating its 26th year in business, Hwy 55 has sold the rights to more than 1,000 franchise locations around the world. Hwy 55 has also signed franchise agreements for Texas, West Virginia, Louisiana, Kentucky and southern Indiana and Virginia in the past year. The brand plans to open approximately 25 locations in 2017.
