The newest franchise agreement is bringing the very first Sloan’s to Arizona, marking the 11th location for the brand.
Sweet tooth fanatics throughout Arizona have reason to celebrate this week as Sloan’s is making its way to the state for the very first time. The Top 10 ice cream and sweets franchise, known for its fresh waffle cones, tasty baked goods, fantasy- driven ambiance, and delicious small batch ice cream, will land in Phoenix.
The new territory is owned by franchisee Riad Moreab. David Wild, Director of Franchising for Sloan’s, pointed out that Moreab’s professional background and his thorough assessment of the brand made him a perfect fit franchisee to bring Sloan’s to Arizona for the first time.
“We are excited to have Riad join us as a franchise partner. His entrepreneurial and management experience will play a tremendous role in developing his locations and the Sloan’s brand in the Phoenix market,” Wild commented. “Riad did a tremendous job of evaluating the Sloan’s brand prior to moving forward and that demonstrates his attention to detail and commitment to making the right decision for him and his family. Sloan’s has been around for over two decades, first getting its start in 1999 in West Palm Beach, Florida with owner, chef, and ice cream connoisseur Sloan Kamenstein at the helm. Since then, Sloan’s has gone international and has 11 locations (including this agreement). According to Wild, the ice cream franchise is seeking new commitments this year to bring the brand to at least five new markets throughout the US.
“For the year 2023, Sloan’s has made a substantial commitment to bringing on new franchisees and offering territory to help them spread their wings,” stated Wild. “We are looking for the right people who look at franchising as a partnership, as well as an investment, and can develop some of the major markets across the United States.”
Each Sloan’s franchise partner receives significant training time, in-depth instruction on back office procedures and software, marketing materials and guidance, and ongoing operational support. Franchisees also gain exclusive territory rights.
“Sloan’s is ultimately interested in finding the right people and giving them the territory and time to develop a considerable business with us,” said Wild.
