Rev’ up your engines, ramen fans, because JINYA Ramen Bar is waving the green flag!
The popular Japanese brand announced today that it has inked a deal to become the Official Restaurant Partner of NASCAR champion Kyle Larson and the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports team. As part of the contract that runs through 2024, Larson – who was recently named to NASCAR’s 75 Greatest Drivers list – will have JINYA branding on his firesuit, team apparel and a post-race cap when the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 visits victory lane.
“Not only is Kyle a NASCAR star because of his supreme talent on the track, but he’s also the sport’s first-ever Asian-American driver, so we are thrilled to partner with him,” said JINYA Founder and CEO Tomo Takahashi. “Kyle has already picked up two wins this season and we can’t wait to see him make many more trips to victory lane while wearing the JINYA logo!”
Known as a “wheel man” for his innate ability to control a race car after rising through the dirt track ranks, Larson won his first NASCAR Cup Series championship in 2021 after leading 2,581 laps – the most in a season by any driver since 1995. Currently sitting eighth in the 2023 Cup standings, Larson will look to capture his second series title this year.
“I’m really excited about the partnership with JINYA,” said Larson. “It’s awesome to see and be a part of bringing a brand-new sponsor to Hendrick Motorsports and our fans. We have some cool ideas in the works that tie the partnership together with our on-track success that we’ll announce soon.”
