Lime House, a local sushi and ramen restaurant,, is actively seeking franchisees to open additional branches in New York. Presently, Lime House is operating from 5 Lake Street in Hamburg, and founder Thanda Win wants to expand to more locations.
“You should choose us because I have very strong experience in 22 years of being a franchisee, and I ran my own business for over two decades,” says Win in a promotional video for potential future owners of a Lime House franchise. Win has been in the food industry since 2005 when she became a franchisee of a sushi restaurant inside a local grocery chain. She then launched the first standalone Lime House restaurant in 2017 in Williamsville, which then relocated in 2022 to its current location and fast-casual concept in Hamburg. Win opened Lime House for franchising in 2023.
Win and Lime House Vice President Erik Nevius are inviting potential restaurant owners to invest in a franchise. “We use high-quality restaurant ingredients without the high restaurant overhead,” said Nevius in a promotional video. On their website, Lime House states that the minimum startup investment for a franchisee is $348,000 for one restaurant. This cost includes a $35,000 initial franchise fee and a grand opening fund of up to $15,000.
Three weeks of training is also provided for the aspiring owner and their head chef. The training covers Lime House standard operating procedures, management tools, and food preparation. Onsite support upon launch will also be provided, as well as continuing support for regular restaurant operations.
Lime House was established in 2017 in Williamsville, New York by Thanda Win. It relocated to Hamburg NY in 2022 as the fast-casual concept Lime House Sushi and Ramen. The restaurant’s sushi and ramen specialty dishes are handmade and freshly prepared in-store every day. Lime House offers made-to-order as well as grab-and-go sushi for customers looking for a fast meal.
