Marlow's Tavern Names Luckie & Company as Creative Agency of Record

Marlow’s Tavern, a neighborhood restaurant concept with locations in Georgia and Florida, has selected Luckie & Company as its agency of record (AOR). As AOR, Luckie will partner with Marlow’s Tavern on overall creative and branding strategy, positioning in the marketplace and advertising. Marlow’s offers classic American fare with an upscale twist and has steadily expanded its business since opening in 2004.

“Marlow’s Tavern is passionate about everything we do from the chef-driven menu to the in-tavern experience to the team we assemble,” said Kaffee Hopkins, Director of Brand Marketing at Marlow’s. “We feel Luckie shares this passion and commitment to our unique values and guest experience. We needed a marketing partner who could deliver on our brand promise and thrive at the pace our business demands. Luckie was our clear choice because of their understanding of our guests and taverns and the speed at which they can deliver critical insights and creativity to support our established success.”

The union between Luckie and Marlow’s runs deep. “Our alignment with the Marlow’s passion and commitment goes beyond the typical agency pitch and into a core partnership,” said John Gardner, President of Luckie. “The Marlow’s team was looking for an agency that shares its values, thinks in unexpected ways, loves creativity and embraces Marlow’s as its own business.”

As a marketing agency that specializes in the human experience, Luckie relates particularly well to the restaurant business – few things in life are more human than the enjoyment of good food. To better understand customers and the experience they desire, Luckie uses data science, behavioral science and applied marketing science to develop key insights, direct the customer journey and inform the creative execution to make it all the more relevant and motivational.

“One of Luckie’s key differentiators is that we make brands more human by telling interesting, engaging stories,” said Stephanie Naman, VP/Creative Director at Luckie. “Marlow’s already has a great story, but we saw some creative and strategic ways to elevate it and build upon their current success. We can’t wait to unveil new work for them. As it turns out, chickpea fries can be very inspiring.”
