Max Visocnik, co-founder of Max & Erma’s restaurants, was a veteran. He always saved room at his bar for fellow vets, along with men and women who were actively serving in the military. Decades later, Max’s spirit is very much alive at his namesake restaurant.
On Veterans Day, Sunday, November 11, participating Max & Erma’s locations are saluting veterans and active military personnel with a free Best Cheeseburger in America Combo.
Members of the armed forces will enjoy a cup of Max & Erma’s signature Tortilla Soup or side Caesar Salad, a juicy, award-winning Cheeseburger hand-crushed from fresh, never frozen beef, and seasoned fries. For dessert, Erma’s fresh baked chocolate chip cookies will be served hot from the oven.
“Veterans Day is a time for military families and friends to gather and share stories,” said Steve Weis, Max & Erma’s president. “We hope that offering veterans and active service personnel a free Best Cheeseburger in America Combo we will help them enjoy their celebration and create new memories.”
To take advantage of the offer, veterans and active personnel are asked to show their military I.D. to their server. The offer does not apply to carry-out.
Owned by American Blue Ribbon Holdings, LLC, Max & Erma’s owns or franchises 74 restaurants in 10 states. Founded in Columbus, this year Max & Erma’s is celebrating its 40th anniversary.
