Superfast Pizza Brand Part of Airport Expansion of Food and Retail Shops
MOD Pizza today announced that they are bringing their artisan-style, made on demand pizza to Portland International Airport in 2015. As part of the Port of Portland’s expansion of airport concessions, MOD will open in the C Concourse with a temporary kiosk on January 1, 2015, with their permanent store opening in April 2015.

The award-winning PDX concessions theme is based on offering the best of the Northwest in addition to popular national brands. “We welcome these exciting new shops and restaurants to our airport family,” said Chris Czarnecki, Port General Manager of aviation business and properties. “We searched far and wide to bring these great options to our travelers, speaking to some 250 individuals interested in operating at PDX.”
MOD currently operates 20 stores in Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona and Colorado, with more than 30 stores slated to be open across eight markets by the end of 2014. MOD’s individual artisan-style pizzas are made on demand, using organic fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces. Guests can create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of 30 featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. Pizzas and salads are the same price regardless of the number of toppings. Pizzas are hand-cooked in an 800 degree oven in less than 3 minutes and salads are hand-tossed in front of the customer. MOD also serves local draft beers, wine, handspun milkshakes, and house-made lemonades and iced teas.
