World’s Largest Casual Dining Mexican Chain Offers $1.82 Regular House Margaritas and 82¢ House Tequila Meltdowns on Thursday, October 29
Go find that Thriller album, get ready to watch Cheers and Knight Rider reruns, dig out your E.T. and Tootsie VHS tapes and prepare for a Meltdown because On The Border is ready to party like it’s 1982.
On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, which was founded at a time when Time magazine named The Computer as the person of the year, is celebrating its birthday on October 29, 2015 by offering its house margarita for just $1.82 and a house tequila Meltdown shot for just 82¢.
“Thirty-three years ago, three guys began this concept with one idea: share Border-style food with the world,” said Ward Whitworth, President of On The Border. “Since then, On The Border has become well-known for sizzling, mesquite-grilled fajitas, great margaritas and seriously good times. We look forward to celebrating our birthday with our incredible guests and valued team members.”
On October 29, 1982, the first On The Border restaurant opened on the corner of Knox and Travis in Dallas, which OTB has called home since day one. There are now more than 150 restaurants in 33 states and 3 countries. And after more than three decades of serving mesquite-grilled meats, hand-pressed tortillas, and guacamole made in small batches — not to mention creating some of the world’s best tequila-inspired cocktails — OTB continues to set its sights high.
“Quite simply, we want to be your favorite Mexican restaurant, and we are working harder and smarter than ever to earn that privilege,” continued Whitworth. “We have a rich, wonderful history and our best days are ahead of us.”
Please call your local On The Border for full details. Price and participation on OTB’s birthday drink specials may vary and are only available where permissible by law. On The Border trains its staff to serve responsibly and encourages its guests to drink responsibly.
