Nation’s leading fast-casual pizza chain opens this Friday; employee training events to raise funds for St. Andrews Food Pantry
Pizza lovers in the Beehive State will get a fresh take on the fast-casual phenomenon this week, when Pie Five Pizza opens its doors in South Jordan.
Area residents will welcome the trend-setting restaurant and its hand-crafted, personalized pizzas on Friday, Sept. 26. Renowned for using only the freshest ingredients, Pie Five’s made-to-order pies offer endless variety all for one great price. Any way you top them, the “five” in Pie Five means it all happens in five minutes or less!
Located at 1684 W. Towne Center Dr., just across from Main Street Park and 17 miles south of Salt Lake City, the new restaurant will celebrate its first week of business at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, with a ribbon cutting by the South Jordan Chamber of Commerce. A check presentation to St. Andrews Food Pantry will follow, as the restaurant donates funds raised from in-store training events taking place this week.
Utah’s NOW 97.9 will also be onsite on Oct. 3, adding to the excitement with food and merchandise giveaways from 6-8 p.m.
“Having the freedom to create your own customized pizza with as many toppings as you like has turned legions of pizza enthusiasts into Pie Five fans across the country. With our wide selection of cheeses, sauces, meats, vegetables and crusts, you simply can’t go wrong when it comes to making your own perfect pie,” said General Manager Rodney Jenson. “We’re also happy to harness the excitement around our opening to support St. Andrews and we look forward to many more opportunities like this in the future. We can’t wait to share our revolutionary pizza experience with South Jordan.
At Pie Five, guests can choose from more than a million combinations of handcrafted pizzas and a variety of specialty pie choices prepared in less than five minutes on one of four crusts, all for one low price. The rapidly expanding chain is capitalizing on growing consumer demand for fresh dining options and artisan pizzas in stylish environments without the wait.
Pie Five Pizza has been named among Fast Casual’s 2014 Top 15 “Movers & Shakers,” a 2012 Hot Concepts winner by Nation’s Restaurant News and one of “10 Hot New Restaurant Chains from Established Brands” by Forbes.com. The company has 24 locations in eight states (Florida, Kansas, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia) with more than 200 announced franchise units under contract in 14 states and Washington, DC.
“When we introduced Pie Five a couple of years ago, our goal was to be the best fast casual brand in the pizza realm, and to that we’ve held true. While other concepts have tried to emulate us, our combination of quality, individualization, speed, price and streamlined operations gives us an edge that is hard to beat. And we’re still pushing the envelope every day,” said Chris Smith, senior vice president of operations for Pie Five Pizza. “When people come in for the first time, their reactions can best be summed up in one word: ‘Wow.’”
The South Jordan restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. A complete menu and more information are available at piefivepizza.com.
