The food manager certification course prepares industry professionals for the mandated food safety certification exam.
Optimiert Consulting a hospitality consulting company, is now offering the nationally recognized ServSafe training program in a one day course that prepares industry professionals for the mandated food safety certification exam that is given at the end of the one day training. Optimiert Consulting also works with consultants who teach food safety classes with the National Registry of Food Professionals and in Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification.
ServSafe is accepted by state and local health departments for those food workers who need a Food Manager Certification program as required by state regulations and FDA food code. The company also offers the course in English and Spanish via private on-site certification classes, and food safety staff workshops and will come to your location or near your location to host a class.
The program is taught by Derrick Sousley, a Certified ServSafe Instructor and proctor. Sousley has over ten years of experience as a restaurant manager and nearly another decade of experience managing hotels with small restaurant facilities on site. Sousley holds certifications with Marriott International general manager certification, Wyndham general manager certification, and Buffets Incorporated Kitchen Manager certification and previously served by appointment in public office in the capacity of commission member on the Elkhart County Innkeepers Tax Commission.
