Pie Five Pizza Co., one of the hottest fast-casual concepts to hit the restaurant industry, will be front and center at the 2013 Multi-Unit Franchising Conference (MUFC) on Thursday, March 28, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Pizza Inn Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: PZZI) Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer Madison Jobe will take the stage to share insights into how legendary concept Pizza Inn successfully launched Pie Five Pizza Co., named a 2012 Hot Concept of the Year award by Nation’s Restaurant News.
Jobe, who oversees franchise sales, construction, real estate and design for both Pizza Inn and Pie Five, will facilitate a panel of leading industry executives to discuss the “ROI Growth Strategies for Integrating Additional Brands” about adding new brands without compromising the operations and profitability of existing brands.
“Pizza Inn is a legendary chain that’s been serving guests for 55 years. We were able to draw on that experience and successfully introduce a new concept and platform that’s geared towards a new audience with strong demographics and healthy economics in top markets ripe for expansion,” said Jobe. “We’re preparing to open our tenth location and have also awarded three multi-unit franchise agreements. With Pie Five we’re welcoming a new era for Pizza Inn Holdings, Inc. across two complementary restaurant divisions.”
Named one of 10 Hot New Restaurant Chains from Established Brands by Forbes, Pie Five has grown to nine corporate-owned Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex locations and has awarded three multi-unit franchise development agreements with rights to open and operate up to 18 locations across Utah and in Charlotte, N.C.
With more than 30 years of restaurant leadership experience, Jobe is a key member of the Pizza Inn executive team that introduced Pie Five. Prior to joining Pizza Inn, Jobe was Vice President of Franchise Development for Stockade Companies, LLC, developing the Sirloin Stockade and Montana Mike’s Steakhouse brands. Before that, he was Vice President of Franchise Development for Ruby’s Diner, Inc. He also served as Chief Operating Officer for Shakey’s Pizza, Vice President of Red Robin Restaurants and held senior positions in franchise development and operations for Fuddruckers.
