America’s Hometown Pizza Chain supports local law enforcement with Donations
Pizza Inn is backing the blue in Mississippi. To Support local police departments, Pizza Inn will donate $5.00 to your police department in the Mississippi cities they serve for each Blueberry Pizzert that is purchased for the entire month of September.
“I’m so proud of our local law enforcement and wanted to show our support,” said Bob Singh, local Pizza Inn franchisee and area developer along with his son Jason Singh. “I know local police departments can always use additional funding for special programs. In my community of Greenwood, they are planning to use our donations for cameras and radio equipment which is a need for this area. We’re happy to help in any way we can.”
Throughout its 58 year history, Pizza Inn has prided itself on being the nation’s hometown pizza chain and giving back to local communities they serve. The “Pizzert” was introduced in 1986 and was the first dessert pizza. The Blueberry “Pizzert” is dessert pizza, made with fresh dough, layered with blueberry fruit topping and finished off with a streusel topping.
“Last week Bob Singh, owner of Greenwood’s Pizza Inn, called to tell me that Pizza Inns were donating $ 5.00 for each Blueberry “Pizzert” they sold for the month of September,” said Carolyn McAdams, mayor of Greenwood, Mississippi. “I was delighted, thrilled and thought what a wonderful show of support from a business in recognition of our Greenwood Police Department. It is inspirational to say the least! Thank you Pizza Inn for support I know police officers everywhere will appreciate this unselfish act and will use the donation to update our security equipment to better serve our city.”
