National Bloody Mary Day is on New Year’s Day, but Razzoo’s Cajun Cafe, the spirited casual eatery that spotlights the flavor, fun, and festivity of New Orleans, is celebrating early. From December 26, 2022 through January 1, 2023, Razzoo’s is serving up $5 Bloody Voodoo Maries in honor of the holiday.
“We’re always in a festive mood at Razzoo’s, but the new year gives us an excuse to really turn up the fun,” said Jeff Powell, Razzoo’s Chief Executive Officer. “We invite our fans and customers to join us in celebrating 2023 early with our $5 Bloody Voodoo Maries and toast the new year with the right sip!”
The Bloody Voodoo Marie is an homage to the New Orleans native Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau. The cocktail features vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire, cayenne, salt, and an extra spicy kick. Guests must be at least 21 years old to enjoy.
Razzoo’s locations are open on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, so to help ensure things go well in 2023, Razzoo’s is serving up their Black-Eyed Peas. According to Southern folklore, these flavorful legumes are traditionally eaten first on New Year’s Day for luck and prosperity throughout the coming year. So, eat up!
