Ohio-based GIONINO’S PIZZERIA (founded 1990) has increased by 4 units, from 42 to 46 (10% growth).  This quick serve pizzeria is open for lunch and dinner, with a $4-$12+ per person price range.  Units seat about 20 and offer delivery and online ordering services.  All locations are in OH.  About 50% of the stores are franchised.

Chicago, IL-based GIORDANO’S RESTAURANT & PIZZA (founded 1974) has increased by 7 units, from 43 to 50 (16% growth) and entered into IN.  The restaurants are family/casual, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is $6-$15+, with full bar and average seating for about 150.  Catering, delivery and online ordering are available.  Locations are franchised and trade in FL, IL and IN.

Calgary, AB-based HUMPTY’S RESTAURANTS INTERNATIONAL INC (founded 1977) has increased by 1 unit, from 47 to 48 (2% growth).  This family/casual concept is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving American cuisine.  Per person check average is $6-$15+.  Average seating is for about 100.  The restaurants are franchised and trade in AB, BC, MB and SK.

Smyrna, GA-based BONEHEADS FIRE GRILLED (founded 2006) has increased by 6 units, from 7 to 13 (86% growth) and entered into AR, CA, FL, LA, MS and TX.  This concept is fast casual, specializing in chicken and seafood.  Beer and wine are served and seating is for about 90.  Per person check average is $6-$15+.  Catering is available.   All locations are franchised and trade in AR, CA, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC and TN.

Southlake, TX-based DEL FRISCO’S RESTAURANT GROUP (NASDAQ: DFRG; founded 1981) has increased by 1 unit for the Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse concept, from 11 to 12 (9% concept growth) and by 5 units for the Del Frisco’s Grille concept, from 14 to 19 (36% concept growth) and entered into CT.  The company also operates the 19-unit Sullivan’s Steakhouse.  Overall company increase was from 44 to 50 (14% growth).  The restaurants are upscale steakhouses, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is $15-$50+, with full bar and seating for about 250.  Catering and banquet rooms are available.  Trading areas are AK, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MD, NC, NE, NV, NY, PA, TX and WA.  We featured this company on 9/30/14 (19% growth).

Kansas City, MO-based 54TH STREET GRILL & BAR (founded 1990) has increased by 3 units, from 22 to 25 (14% growth).  The restaurants are family/casual bar and grills, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is $8-$20+, with full bar and average seating for about 200.  Trading areas are IL, KS, MO and TX.  We wrote about this concept on 7/29/14 (10% growth).
