Sustainable restaurant with 60 wines on tap and vineyard-inspired plates to debut in The Domain this week
Sixty Vines, the restaurant known for its revolutionary wine on-tap program and vineyard-inspired cuisine, will open its first Austin location on Wednesday, October 9. Located in The Domain, the new restaurant invites guests to sip and savor 60 different wines on tap selected from wine country regions around the globe. Sixty Vines also offers seasonal dishes designed for sharing among friends. Spanning over 10,000 square feet, the new restaurant offers a transportive dining experience featuring indoor and patio seating, a full bar, and private events spaces.
“Austin is known for its energy and innovation, which is exactly what we aim to deliver at Sixty Vines,” said Jeff Carcara, CEO of Sixty Vines. “We’re reimagining how people experience wine, making it more sustainable while keeping it fun and laid-back at the same time.”
Sixty Vines’ industry-leading wine on tap system offers the closest “from the barrel” tasting experience outside of the vineyard and the most eco-friendly way for guests to enjoy wine. As its name implies, the restaurant offers 60 different wines on tap selected from wine country regions around the world. Through relationships with iconic winemakers, the restaurant offers exclusive kegged wines that bring a unique experience to Austin. Each keg replaces 26 bottles, and in its first year, Sixty Vines Austin expects to save around 37,000 bottles, corks, and foils from landfills.
Guests can discover the perfect pour for their palate, with wine available by the flight, half glass, glass, or bottle. Options include an array of reds, rosés, whites, and bubbles, along with a curated selection of cocktails and mocktails.
Sixty Vines pairs simple, flavorful cuisine with a variety of sustainable wines on tap. Often referred to as “the wine lover’s restaurant,” every plate and pour is designed to inspire adventure and discovery. Whether guests are stopping by for brunch, lunch, or dinner, the menu encourages abundance and shared plates. Standout items include custom charcuterie boards, fresh salads, sandwiches, and hand-tossed pizzas. Entrée highlights include fresh Bavette Steak. Dessert offerings include indulgent choices like Sticky Toffee Cake and Deviled Affogato.
The restaurant will officially open for lunch on October 9 at 11 a.m. Going forward, Sixty Vines will offer lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. Regular hours of operation are Monday 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Friday 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-11 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.-9 p.m. The full menu is available online.
