Southern California-based burger badasses, Slater’s 50/50, have kicked off the holiday season by giving burger lovers something to be thankful for, bringing back the enormously popular Thanksgiving Burger.
Now through November 30th at all Slater’s 50/50 locations, guests can indulge in one of the most popular feasts of the season, enjoying all of the crave-worthy elements of a traditional Thanksgiving meal in one delicious package.
Slater’s Thanksgiving Burger features our signature fresh turkey patty topped with house-made brioche dressing, turkey gravy, scratch cranberry sauce and sage mayo set atop our honey wheat bun.
To really get guests in the holiday spirit, Slater’s 50/50 Beer Monger, Mark Schultz, recommends pairing this beast of a burger with Lagunitas Czech Style Pilsner. Shultz says that the refined spiciness of the traditional Saaz hops greatly enhances the seasonal flavors of both the seasoned turkey and the sage dressing, while the crisp, clean finish of this classic pilsener balances the sweetness of the cranberries, creating a pairing that is sure to elicit serious gratitude.
Slater’s 50/50 was founded in 2009 in Anaheim Hills, California by Scott Slater, a San Diego State graduate with a passion for gourmet comfort food and craft beer. Teaming up with Executive Chef Brad Lyons, they created the world’s first 50/50 burger – 50 percent ground bacon and 50 percent ground beef – taking the Southern California restaurant scene by storm. In the past four years, subsequent locations have opened in San Diego, Huntington Beach, Pasadena, Lake Forest and Rancho Cucamonga, much to the delight of bacon, burger and beer worshipers everywhere. Since opening, Slater’s 50/50 has won a number of awards and accolades including “Best Burger” by The Orange County Register, OC Weekly and FOX 5 San Diego as well as Best New Restaurant by San Diego Magazine. Slater’s 50/50 has also been featured on national television shows including the Travel Channel’s Bacon Paradise and Discovery Channel’s United States of Bacon.
