Free dinosaur pancakes for kids July 16-20
Sunny Street Café is giving away free dinosaur pancakes. The popular breakfast-lunch cafés are hosting Dino-Mite Kids Week from July 16-20, when children 12 and under can receive a free dinosaur shaped pancake with a purchase of an adult entree. The restaurants will host a dinosaur themed party all week, with prizes and activities to highlight a new kids program.
“We take pride in being a family friendly destination in our communities,” said Mike Stasko, VP of Brand Strategy for Sunny Street Café. “Our dinosaur shaped pancakes have always been a huge hit, so we decided to make a big deal and create a whole week around them.”
Dino brain games, raptor punch, and dino prize packs are some of the other activities planned for the week. “Giving out free dinosaur pancakes to our little guests is a fun way to highlight our new kids program as well as say “thanks” to all the families with children,” Stasko said. “I know from experience that taking your kids out to eat can sometimes be challenging, but nothing puts a smile on a face like a Triceratops pancake when it hits the table.”
Sunny Street is also debuting it’s new kids program, with dinosaur themed activity sheets and crayons. It also features a move away from plastic disposable kids cups. Tritan shatterproof cups will now be reused, in addition to a sippy lid.
“We’ve been taking steps to reduce the waste in our restaurants, and one of the biggest culprits is the plastic disposable kids cups you see at so many places,” Stasko said. “We made the commitment last year to move away from these, so we’re excited to finally rollout reusable tumblers for kids.”
