Sweetgreen Announces Two New Locations Including First New York Restaurant

sweetgreen, the farm-to-table organic salad and frozen yogurt shop recently announced two new locations, expected to open in early 2013.

1164 Broadway (at 28th Street), New York City

sweetgreen is coming to Manhattan!  The brand inked a new lease on a 2,600-square-foot, street-level space directly adjacent to the NoMad Hotel, joining fashion and music label Maison Kitsuné, Stumptown Coffee Roasters and other cult brands in what is becoming a new destination area for foodies and the style-conscious.  Leong Leong Architecture, the design firm behind Philip Lim’s shops, is designing sweetgreen’s New York restaurant, expected to open in March 2013.

14th St NW and W St, NW, Washington, DC

sweetgreen also signed a lease at the Jefferson 14W mixed-use project being developed by Perseus Realty.  The 2,030-square-foot restaurant will be in the same building as the new YMCA and will feature a juice window selling sweetpress, the brand’s popular line of organic, cold-press juices.  sweetgreen at 14th & W is expected to open in early 2013.

sweetgreen is re-defining the concept of fresh-casual cuisine.
