Leading healthy, fast-casual concept introduces veggie-rich bowl inspired by Centenarians
While many people are taking up various trendy diets, Tender Greens’ new menu item is focused on a long-term and sustainable approach to an improved diet through healthy, yet delicious food choices. Tender Greens is proud to serve a perfect first step with a bowl inspired by the eating habits of the Centenarians who live in the Blue Zone area of the Mediterranean.
Beginning on Jan. 2, guests can begin the new year by changing the way they eat for the better with the Longevity Bowl. Starting at $12.95, the bowl features slow-cooked black lentils with fennel and dried pears, roasted purple and yellow cauliflower, baby kale salad, and a protein choice of roasted maitake mushrooms or grilled trout.
“The Longevity Bowl is the most delicious way to start making healthy and sustainable diet choices,” said Tender Greens’ VP of Operations Pete Balastereri. “In the Mediterranean Blue Zone, vegetables, fruits, grains and legumes are incorporated into almost every meal, along with healthy fats, minimal dairy, meat, and extremely low amounts of sugary drinks and processed foods. In tandem with local farmers, we were able to create this unique new bowl based on these same principles.”
In addition to the Longevity Bowl, Tender Greens is rewarding its loyalty members for making good choices through the Tender Greens app. When members dine twice during January, the third visit will be 50% off, with a maximum $20 discount. Anyone can become a loyalty member by downloading the Tender Greens app and creating an account.
