Tender Greens, the farm-to-fork fine-casual restaurant concept with 22 locations across California, has named Brian Berkhausen, formerly Director of Global Store Development at Starbucks, to the position of Vice President of Real Estate and Development.

In his newly created position, Brian is responsible for the growth and development of new Tender Greens restaurants in the U.S. and beyond. Before Starbucks, where he led new store development and portfolio management of 1,300 Starbucks locations in the Western Region, Brian’s experience spans more than 30-years in development and growing high performing brands in consumer food and restaurant companies.

“It’s an exciting time for Tender Greens as we grow beyond California and eventually outside of the U.S.,” said Tender Greens President David Dressler. “We are thrilled to have Brian join our leadership team, and bring his extensive experience achieving meaningful and intelligent growth to our company.”

Named one of the “10 Best Chain Restaurants in the World” by Condé Nast Traveler, and on Nation’s Restaurant News’ Power List in 2016, Tender Greens has quickly emerged as an innovative leader and pioneer among fine casual restaurants. Since opening the first location in 2006 on an up-and-coming street in Culver City, the company has built an enthusiastic cult following by serving inspired food, friendly service, and great value in comfortable spaces.
