The Big Salad Awards Franchise for Second Houston-Area LocationThe Big Salad has awarded its latest franchise opportunity – at its upcoming second Houston-area location – to a local Houston family.

Ricardo and Maria Sanchez have become the restaurant group’s newest franchise owners. The second Houston area Big Salad Restaurant, slated to open in Spring, 2017, will be located at The Market at Springwoods Village, Spring Stuebner and Holzwarth Road, in Spring, Texas – a Houston suburb. The Big Salad’s first Houston-area location recently opened in Richmond.

“Ricardo and Maria Sanchez bring a wealth of business experience to The Big Salad family, together with a strong commitment to customer service,” said John Bornoty, the company’s founder and CEO.

Ricardo’s business background includes a 30-year management background in the petrochemical industry, while Maria’s career experiences include financial services and event planning. Both will be involved in the restaurant’s day-to-day operations. Both Ricardo and Maria were born and university educated in Mexico, emigrating to the U.S. eight years ago.

“We see a great opportunity to grow this new business and at the same time to help grow the economy in this country, which has given us so much over the years to help make our dreams a reality,” said Maria.

Bornoty noted that The Big Salad continues to look for new franchise partners. “Our fresh, innovative menu, restaurant design, and our focused operating model allow The Big Salad to present a distinctive opportunity for new franchisees,” he said, adding that The Big Salad “is well positioned with consumer trends in the rapidly growing healthy lifestyle restaurant sector.”

Since opening its first location in 2008, The Big Salad has allowed people to make their meal their own. Through thoughtful planning, The Big Salad chefs are equipped to prepare more than 17 million possible iceberg, romaine or spinach salad combinations for customers right at the point of purchase with a choice of 40 toppings and 30 dressings. Additionally, The Big Salad offers a plethora of fresh sandwich and soup options, as well as putting any salad into a wrap. Currently, The Big Salad can be found in Ann Arbor (two locations), Grosse Pointe Woods, Novi, Troy, Charlotte – all in Michigan, and now in Richmond, Texas. The restaurant chain has plans to open 100 stores in strategically located metro areas across the country in the next 10 years. Learn more at http://www.thebigsalad.net.
