Restaurant group’s mobile app helps members get more rewards faster
The Big Salad has launched its new and improved customer loyalty program, aimed at helping its 12,000 current, as well as future members, earn rewards at the speed of just a few smartphone clicks.
“More. Bigger. Better” describes the new mobile app-based loyalty program, which was developed with the direct input of a recent customer survey. With the new program, loyalty rewards members earn one point for every dollar spent.
Additionally, the new program features a tiered rewards structure (silver, gold, platinum, and diamond) which, depending on the level, provides additional topping and beverage rewards with every purchase, quarterly menu item awards, and unlimited vegetable toppings on salads and sandwich wraps.
“We spent a lot of time with surveys and talking with our customers to get their feedback and provide them with a system that works for them. Our most loyal customers told us what they wanted to see made even better in our rewards program, and we discovered overwhelming interest in offering it via our new mobile app, and more frequent rewards,” said John Bornoty, The Big Salad founder and CEO. “We’re working to continue to use this and other technologies to improve the overall customer experience and improve our own business processes.”
Members will be able to earn freebies more quickly under the new program, continued Bornoty, saying that “our most loyal customers deserve more rewards faster.”
Loyalty programs are becoming more popular among businesses like The Big Salad simply because they work. Research by Manta and BIA/Kelsey, a research and advisory company focused on the local advertising marketplace, found “a repeat customer spends 67 percent more than a new one.” Further, retaining customers is less costly than acquiring new ones.
All current rewards members will keep their current points, and will be rolled over into the new program via the app. In addition, everyone who signs up for the program automatically becomes a silver tier member. The new Big Salad mobile app is available on iOS, Android, as well as Windows mobile devices. Registration information is also available at http://www.mybigsalad.com.
