Romacorp, Inc., the parent company of Tony Roma’s restaurants, announces the appointment of John Brisco as Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer for the brand. Brisco will oversee the international and domestic franchise development and growth strategies for Tony Roma’s and will report to Ken Myres, President of Romacorp, Inc.
“John is absolutely one of the most successful and well connected franchise development executives in the casual dining industy”, said Myres. “His background in international development complements our existing growth around the world and will provide for the additon of franchise partners in many new countries. John will also be responsible for Tony Roma’s franchise development throughout the United States.”
Prior to joining Tony Roma’s, Brisco was the President of International Development for Ruby Tuesday, where during his tenure he signed 38 new international territories, all of which included multi-unit development. Brisco’s experience spans across several brands in the industry including Sbarro’s, TGI Friday’s and more. “I am very excited to join this legendary brand”, said Brisco. “Tony Roma’s is already a leader in the international casual dining market and I am confident that we can continue to grow in new and existing countries and territories. In just the past month new Tony Roma’s restaurants have opened in Sapporo, Japan, Edmonton, Alberta and yesterday in the new Global City district in Manila.”
