Unique Pizza and Subs Corporation today reported both Unique Pizza and Subs and Pizza Fusion were ranked in the inaugural “Top 100 Movers and Shakers” by PizzaMarketplace.com— “a ranking of the top concepts, leaders and trends in the $38 billion pizza segment.” The Company yesterday announced it had signed a Definitive Agreement to acquire privately held Pizza Fusion Holdings, with closing expected by the end of the third calendar quarter.
Out of the nearly 70,000 pizzerias in the U.S., PizzaMarketplace.com ranked Pizza Fusion — with its 75 percent organic menu and eco-friendly franchise concept — number 19 nationally. Unique Pizza and Subs — with its superior quality offering and innovative capital efficient ‘rebranding mom & pop pizzeria’ business model — was ranked 52nd.
According to the PizzaMarketplace.com article, “For this report, our 16-person advisory panel ranked the top 70 concepts, considering menu and technology innovations, personnel movements, sales, franchising and growth, marketing initiatives and more. The original list began with more than 250 brands.”
