Walk-On's to Host HLN's "Morning Express with Robin Meade" Friday

“Rivalry Express” tour headed to Baton Rouge for LSU-Auburn game

HLN’s Morning Express with Robin Meade will broadcast live from Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar tomorrow, Sept. 20th, from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM Central to preview this weekend’s LSU-Auburn “Tiger Bowl 2013.”  In addition to host Robin Meade, sports reporter Carlos Diaz will be on-site to capture the sights, sounds, smells and flavors of Baton Rouge.

Baton Rouge is the first of eight stops on the morning show’s “Rivalry Express” tour of the country’s hottest college football rivalries. And what better place for the Rivalry Express bus to set up shop than Walk-On’s – voted “Best Sports Bar in North America” by ESPN.

Several special guests – including members of the Tiger Marching Band, LSU’s cheerleaders and mascot, local athletes and celebrities, diehard tailgaters and more – will be visiting Walk-On’s and appearing on the program.  In addition, Walk-On’s founders Brandon Landry and Jack Warner will be on hand, along with executive chef Jeremy Coco, to share the food and atmosphere that makes LSU Football so special.

Local brass band The Michael Foster Project has also agreed to perform during the program.
