Wienerschnitzel Inks Ten-Unit Deal with Longtime Franchise Partner

World’s Largest Hot Dog Franchise Continues to Grow California and Texas Footprint

Wienerschnitzel, home of America’s favorite chili dog, is proud to announce it has recently signed a multi-unit development agreement to build 10 new Wienerschnitzel restaurants throughout California and Texas within the next five years. Spearheading the expansion is longtime franchise partner since 2000, Tahir Salim, currently owner, partner or affiliate of 13 Wienerschnitzel locations, along with his two sons and business partners, Zohaib and Vakaf Salim. With the majority of brand presence in California and Texas, the Salim family franchise business will further expand the brand’s southwest footprint, beginning with a California store slated to open in 2017.

“Wienerschnitzel’s low build-out and operating costs, along with the company’s forward-thinking marketing approach are among the many reasons we continue to grow with the brand,” said Tahir Salim, Wienerschnitzel franchisee. “Over the years, after seeing consistently solid ROI, I’ve gotten my sons involved as a means to provide for their families. There’s no question in my mind that Wienerschnitzel has a bright future ahead, and we’re excited to be a part of it.”

With a refreshed focus on franchise expansion, Wienerschnitzel is aggressively pursuing national growth via multi-unit partnerships and area representative programs when entering new markets primed for the Wienerschnitzel concept. In addition, both new and existing Wienerschnitzel franchisees have the opportunity to adopt the brand’s new design, which features a smaller footprint and, at a lower cost of entry, takes advantage of real estate where most competitors will not go.

“Having experienced six consecutive years of same store sales increases, Wienerschnitzel is poised for national growth and there has never been a better time to invest with the brand,” said Ted Milburn, Director of Franchise Development for Wienerschnitzel. “There’s no better case study than when longtime franchisees, like Salim, continue to grow with us. This is testament to our unique business model which is proven to boost profitability potential and expansion opportunities for all of our valued franchise partners.”

Wienerschnitzel currently has 325 locations in 10 states. The company is recruiting passionate franchise partners with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and is awarding a variety of franchise opportunities including area development, single unit, and non-traditional venues such as convenience stores.
