Wienerschnitzel Unveils Express Restaurant at NACS Show

World’s Largest Hot Dog Chain Talks Franchise Opportunities at Booth #3374

Wienerschnitzel Unveils Express Restaurant at NACS ShowWienerschnitzel, Home of America’s Favorite Chili Dog, will be a first time exhibitor at the NACS Show in Las Vegas, October 11-14. Located at Booth #3374 in the new exhibitor’s pavilion, company executives will be on hand to discuss the brand’s new Express model, which is currently testing in a Colorado convenience store and performing significantly above expectations. The franchisee operating the test location will also be on site at NACS.

The Express restaurant serves Wienerschnitzel’s most popular menu items including Chili Dogs, Corn Dogs, Chili Cheese Fries and Tastee Freez soft serve desserts, in a space as little as 300 square feet. The small-footprint design was engineered to lower initial investment and operational costs, while boosting profitability potential and expansion opportunities. Given Wienerschnitzel’s 19 consecutive quarters of same store sales growth, there has never been a better time to add the Wienerschnitzel Express business model for convenience store owners.

“We’re poised for exponential growth in the convenience store segment with the introduction of our Express model,” said Ted Milburn, Director of U.S. Franchise Development for Wienerschnitzel. “Our unique menu items often smothered in our famous, secret-recipe chili, perform exceptionally well in the convenience store environment, and our test results have proven that the Wienerschnitzel concept has the power to drive more sales as a C-Store destination.”

Highlights of Wienerschnitzel’s Express Restaurant:

  • Simple build-out on as little as 300 square feet
  • Low initial investment of $65K – $100K all-in
  • Plug-and-play equipment package (no hood required)
  • Simple operations and execution
  • Low food costs increases ROI potential
  • Menu items exclusive to the brand
  • Unique value proposition
  • 24-hour menu, including breakfast

Currently, there are six Wienerschnitzel restaurants operating in convenience stores, the first of which opened in 1999. Rocky Mountain C-Stores, the franchise group operating multiple Wienerschnitzel’s in their Colorado convenience store locations, including the Express test location, has two additional Express units in development.

“As a longtime Wienerschnitzel franchisee, we saw a tremendous economic opportunity to introduce such a desirable food concept into our convenience stores, and it’s proven to be a very smart business investment,” said Tobey Williams, Operations Director, Rocky Mountain C-Stores. “After experiencing the success in our first Express unit, the decision to open restaurants in two more of our C-Stores was an easy decision.”

Keep your eyes open for Wienerschnitzel’s Hot Dog Mascot, “The Delicious One,” roaming the aisles at the show, and make sure to visit Booth #3374 to learn about the many benefits of owning a Wienerschnitzel.
