WingHouse Bar & Grill partners with Florida non-profits to give local families a Christmas to remember.
WingHouse Bar & Grill is bringing great cheer to local children and families this holiday season. On Saturday, December 17, 2016, four participating WingHouse locations will host their annual WingHouse Christmas celebration from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. The events will each help 60-80 local families throughout Florida. Each location will give out $4000 worth of gifts to children and families; picked out exclusively by the famous WingHouse Girls. Families will also be treated to a lunch buffet, as well as a visit from Santa.
Participating WingHouse locations include WingHouse of Clearwater at 2640 Gulf to Bay Blvd., WingHouse of Bradenton at 5105 14th St. W., WingHouse of Ocala at 2145 E. Silver Springs Blvd. and WingHouse of Altamonte Springs 275 W. State Rd. 436.
Local charities benefiting from the $16,000 WingHouse Christmas event include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, Boys & Girls Club of Manatee County, Ocala Outreach Foundation and The Salvation Army of Orlando.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay’s mission is “to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.” In 2015 Big Brothers Big Sisters served 2,990 children in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk, Pasco, Citrus, Hernando and Sumter counties.
The Boys & Girls Club of Manatee County is an afterschool and summer program that offers hope and opportunity to every child in their community. They serve 4,100 children annually through programs that focus on academic success, good character and citizenship and healthy lifestyles.
The Ocala Outreach Foundation serves children and families in the Ocala community by helping those who need it most. They raise money for families who have children struggling with medical issues, as well as different outreach programs that benefit those in need.
The Salvation Army of Orlando has been a part of the Orlando community for over 50 years. The Salvation Army is about “doing the most good” and they strive to help men, women, children and families going through tough times. They offer emergency assistance, senior housing, adult rehabilitation and disaster relief.
“We believe in giving back to our community all year round, but especially during the holidays,” says Terry Ryan, CEO of WingHouse. “WingHouse Christmas is one of our most favorite times of year. We love seeing the joy on the children’s faces. That’s what the holiday season is all about.”
The first WingHouse was opened over 20 years ago in Largo, Florida by former Dallas Cowboy and Denver Broncos NFL guard Crawford Ker.
