Self-Serve Frozen Yogurt Chain Honored by Franchise Business Review on 2014 List
Yogurtland, the self-serve frozen yogurt pioneer with more than 260 locations worldwide, has been awarded Franchise Business Review’s Franchisee Satisfaction Award for 2014. The Franchisee Satisfaction Awards are part of a national project that looks at franchisee satisfaction at some of the nation’s most popular franchise brands. Yogurtland will receive its award at the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) annual conference on Feb. 24.
“We are thrilled to win this award,” said Larry Sidoti, Yogurtland’s vice president of development. “It is especially meaningful because it is determined entirely by a survey of our franchisees. We are dedicated to providing the systems and support to allow our franchisees to build strong businesses, and receiving an award based on their satisfaction means we are succeeding.”
Franchise Business Review determines the recipients of its Franchisee Satisfaction Awards by surveying well over 300 brands and thousands of franchisees. Franchises are then ranked based on their assumptions. The surveys cover topics such as FDD information, training, start-up assistance, financial future from a franchisee’s perspective, ongoing support, marketing programs and more. They then calculate an average for all surveys and rank all brands that score above average on their shortlist.
As one of the nation’s first and largest self-serve frozen yogurt brands, Yogurtland has grown more than 160 percent over the past three years. The company opened 58 domestic stores in 2013 and plans to have more than 370 locations by the end of 2014. In addition to its ongoing, strategic expansion throughout Los Angeles, Yogurtland will focus its growth in international markets such as the Middle East, Australia and Venezuela as well as existing domestic markets such as Dallas-Ft. Worth, Houston, Austin, Atlanta, Portland, Seattle, and the Tri-State Area surrounding New York City.
Founded in 2006, Yogurtland is pioneering the customer-created frozen yogurt experience by combining irresistible yogurt flavors with an exciting franchise business model. Separating Yogurtland from competitors is the company’s team of flavorologists who develop the proprietary recipes for the brand’s more than 50 different and customized flavors. Whether traditional or exotic, each flavor uses real ingredients sourced from their original locations. By controlling the entire frozen yogurt making process, Yogurtland has raised the standards for flavors and quality to new heights and much to the delight of millions of fans. The company currently has 263 locations across the U.S., Australia, Guam, Mexico, and Venezuela with more than 75 additional locations planned to open by the end of 2014.
