Licensees Jeanne Ward, Susan Satterfield and Ron and Jessica Gosselin recently opened the doors to Jacksonville’s 11th Zaxby’s restaurant.  A Southeast favorite for chicken fingers and wings, the new location is in the Oakleaf Town Center Located at 9710 Applecross Road and will operate from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday – Thursday and 10:30 – 11 p.m. Friday – Saturday.

“Jacksonville is a great town and residents have shown tremendous support for the brand. This new Zaxby’s location is centrally located in the shops at the Oakleaf Town Center, making it a convenient destination for lunch or dinner,” said Ron Gosselin, who, along with his partners, owns and operates two Zaxby’s restaurants in Orange Park, four locations in Jacksonville and the Fernandina Beach, Fla., location. “We are confident that the same quality of food and service Zaxby’s is known for will keep Oakleaf-area residents coming back for more.”

Featuring a design unique to Zaxby’s with a bright, open interior décor complemented by custom vintage prints and school memorabilia, the new 3,847 square-foot location seats 90, with an additional 32 seats on the patio. Zaxby’s also offers drive-thru services to meet the needs of customers on the go.

The new location is the 11th for Duval County and the 54th for the Sunshine State. Zaxby’s currently operates more than 620 locations in 15 states — Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia.

Ward, Satterfield and the Gosselins are slated to open an additional four locations in the Jacksonville market over the next few years. The partners also have future plans to expand in the Orlando market.

Zaxby’s provides chicken fingers, wings, sandwiches, salads and more in a fun, relaxing atmosphere. Zaxby’s is a pioneer of the quick-casual format, providing services and amenities that fall somewhere between fast food and a sit-down restaurant. At the new restaurant, customers will place their orders at the counter and will be called to pick up their prepared-at-order meals when they are ready.

Jacksonville Zaxby’s guests can also enjoy the Coca-Cola Company’s proprietary drink fountain, Coca-Cola Freestyle®. The sleek, stylish fountain is touch screen operated, enabling guests to select from more than 100 regular and low-calorie brands – including many varieties of waters, sports drinks, lemonades and sparkling beverages that, prior to the arrival of Coca-Cola Freestyle®, were not available in the U.S.

Zaxby’s also offers four salads, or Zalads: The House, The Blue, The Caesar and its newest addition, The Cobb. All of Zaxby’s Zalads offer more chicken, unique ingredients, such as French-fried onions, fresh veggies and juicy tomatoes, and are larger than most salads offered elsewhere. Each is prepared with chicken, three kinds of lettuce and a variety of toppings. Zalads are assembled at the time the order is placed, versus being pre-made and stored in a cooler.

Additionally, Zaxby’s offers a new line of premium milkshakes including the popular Birthday Cake and Banana Pudding Milkshakes and the new Chocolate Cookie Milkshake. They are rich and creamy, hand-blended, and are topped with whipped cream.
