Taste buds rejoice as Zaxby’s fanatics can once again enjoy the wildly popular Zensation Zalad and the new Brownie Batter Milkshake as part of the chain’s latest limited-time-only promotion. Appearing in two TV spots each, Zaxby’s has enlisted television personalities Jill Hennessy and Chris Kattan; two of a long list of celebrities who have been featured in recent years for the chain’s entertaining “Indescribably Good” advertising campaign.
“We strive to continuously offer our fans flavorful menu options, by reintroducing old favorites and surprising them with new ones,” said Zach McLeroy, CEO and co-founder of Zaxby’s. “Offering an assortment of intriguing flavor combinations, guests practically demanded the Zensation Zalad’s return, while the new Brownie Batter Milkshake is sure to please any sweet tooth.”
In the new commercials, Jill Hennessy, best known for her role on NBC’s “Crossing Jordan,” publicizes the return of the much-loved salad. Last offered to Zaxby’s fans in early 2011, The Asian-inspired salad features the chain’s Chicken Fingerz on an abundant bed of mixed greens, red cabbage, carrots, crispy wonton strips, topped with an Asian slaw and drizzled with a Honey Sesame sauce. Delicious ingredients in perfect harmony, the salad is served with a citrus vinaigrette dressing and coupled with a tasty veggie eggroll.
The Brownie Batter Milkshake will appear alongside comedic actor Chris Kattan, best known for his career on the late-night television sketch comedy “Saturday Night Live.” The indulgent shake is hand-blended with rich brownie pieces and topped with real whipped cream. The Brownie Batter Milkshake is the latest addition to the chain’s milkshake line, offering a great new option for guests looking for something sweet after their meal or as a delightful anytime snack.
The commercials will begin airing today in 47 markets through the chain’s 12-state operating area. Keeping with tradition, Zaxby’s more than 440,000 Facebook fans received an exclusive look at the spots prior to TV broadcast at www.facebook.com/zaxbys. Guests can also receive ongoing updates on this promotion and other Zaxby’s news from the company’s Twitter handle, @Zaxbys, which can be viewed at http://twitter.com/Zaxbys.
St. John & Partners, Zaxby’s agency of record since 2003, created the award-winning, ongoing celebrity campaign that grew from capturing real people’s unscripted reactions to eating Zaxby’s food. The celebrity spots were directed by Randy Hackett, shot at Line 204 Studios in Los Angeles, California and editorial work completed by Optimus in Los Angeles.
